The tools used to support the site are a RSS subscription, where my parents can type in their e-mail to get updated feeds to the homework blog.  I have also added in a comment section at the bottom for any questions or comments that come up during the week that I will address.  I have added a bookmark button at the bottom of the site for easy access for parents and or students to bookmark the site on their computer.  I will set up students as subscribers, and not allowing them to edit the blog.  I will use various tools to enhance the site.  I will, as I discussed, provide hyper links to resources,  an educational video segments that will give the parents ideas about reading at home with their children, and later in the year video segments of the students talking about what they have been learning about. Possibly a podcast of the students reading or giving facts.  I have also included some reading sites that will be helpful at home, because first grade learning to read is the main goal.  Also, I will customize the site adding the new poem and spelling words of the week.   I will possibly changing the photos in the header to be more festive. I am happy about my idea and think it will be a great resource for my parents!
