The users of my blog site First Grade Homework Folders, are my elementary students and parents, I am unsure of what grade I will be teaching next year so I will just use my first grade students from last year as a base. I decided to do a homework folders site where parents and students can go all year to check on homework assignments and know what is expected of them.  I have a link on the top right corner of the page for parents and students to subscribe to the site. In addition, the site will have extra sheets to download and print out if they are lost, which happens. Through the year I will put up links for special homework assignments, new spelling words of the week, math help, and site words. I will also use this site as a base for the parents to see more information about field trips we will be taking. I have seen similar posts on individual teacher websites that have classroom information and I think it will help the year run a little smoother. Some performance drivers that will prevent them from the blog are accessibility to the Internet, depending on where I teach parents may or may not have easy access to Internet. Knowledge of subscribing to blogs, parents may not be familiar with this technology. Parental involvement, parents may not be involved in their child’s education and therefore will not use the resource.
